The Hotel Oak House No.1 is totally renovated and impresses with its „Typically English“ atmosphere: The rooms are furnished with valuable antique furniture; in the afternoons,  tea and biscuits are offered (included in the room!), and the owners and employees of the family-run hotel Characterized by restraint, helpfulness and hospitality. Overall, the hotel looks like a small English country manor. The garden behind the house contributes to this impression. The Hotel Oak House No.1 has only three suites and a single room; all decorated very spacious and feature designer furniture. They all have a safe, TV, DVD player, refrigerator and large bathroom. The Hotel Oak House No.1 is no restaurant. Meals other than breakfast or five-o’clock tea can take guests in one of the restaurants in Tetbury.

The location of the hotel in Tetbury

The hotel building is on the street The Chipping, a quiet side street north of the town square of Tetbury. The marketplace with the „Market House“ (built in 1655) is only 100 meters from the hotel! In the city center there are several cafes and restaurants and interesting shops. As would be especially the „Highgrove Shop“ to call, a gift shop, which is part of Prince Charles. In hill country around Tetbury it can be a lovely walk, as along the small river Tetbury Avon. An interesting destination for hikers and nature lovers is the „Westonbirt Arboretum“, a wonderful botanical arboretum with many tree species. The trees were planted in part already in the 1850’s! The gardens of „Highgrove House“, the estate of Prince Charles, are accessible from May to September for the public; they are also a tourist attraction near Tetbury.
