The Dalen Hotel is certainly one of the most spectacular hotels in Norway. The historic wooden castle dating from 1894, was built in the style of a Swiss hotel and provided with impressive dragon head ridges. For nostalgics the visit of the romantic hotel is an absolute highlight when visiting the region Telemark in Norway.

Particularly impressive is the great hall of the hotel, whre above the arches is a stained glass dome in 10 m height. The lobby is a perfect meeting place for the guests and very pleasant with armchairs and fireplace groups.

Also noteworthy are the many room. Guests can choose between historic rooms with shower in the hallway, large suite with balcony or family rooms. Overall, the hotel has 42 rooms and suites with water or garden views. The „modern“ guest rooms include private bathrooms with bath or shower.

The Dalen Hotel is surrounded by a 27-hectare garden with many rare plants and trees. In the summer months there are numerous events.

A must is a tour by canal boat „Henrik Ibsen“ by the sluice rich Telemarketers channel. The hotel offers stays in combination with the channel trip. The beautiful Romantik Hotel is often booked for weddings and large events. It is open from early April to late October.
