The Librije’s Hotel in Zwolle opened in of 2008. This city hotel is a former women’s prison from 1793 and offers guests a special atmosphere, as the 19 rooms and suites can be found in the former cells. However, they have nothing in common with the prison, because the equipment is very luxurious and elegant. Each guest room is individually decorated with its own color scheme. All guest rooms are air-conditioned and the spacious bathrooms have either a shower or bath.

Every guest can make free use of an iPad and WiFi and also drink at no additional cost from the well-stocked minibar. Flat-panel televisions are standard in this five-star hotel, which is run as a Non smoking hotel and is handicapped accessible.

The charming garden courtyard part of the hotel restaurant „Librije`s Zusje“, where meals are served. The peaceful courtyard can be covered if necessary with a gazebo, but is very popular with guests as an open air restaurant.
