The Memmo Alfama was opened in September 2013 and immediately established itself as a hotel for individualists.
The four-star hotel is an ensemble of three restored buildings from the 19th century, which now extends over 4 levels and offers 42 rooms for guests. During the renovation great emphasis was placed on the preservation of historic substance and so this design hotel has now a special charm, which perfectly combines modern and old elements.
The Non-smoking rooms are rather small, a bit winding but very bright. The glass bathrooms disappear discreetly behind curtains. Despite modern pragmatism load the rooms with comfortable beds, light wood floors and glorious views to linger.
The Memmo Alfama pleasantly distinguishes itself from other luxury hotels. A large gastronomy was deliberately omitted. The breakfast buffet is served in a kind of „dining room“ with long tables and small sitting areas for reading.
To the terraces lead stairs. The Memmo Alfama is special on the roof with the view over Lisbon opens up to the Tagus and gustes can watch passing ships from around the world. On the large terrace chairs, umbrellas and small tables stand near a beautiful pool.
